Mandeep Virk, Registered Clinical Counsellor in Vancouver

Mandeep Virk is the counsellor at Dear Therapy in Vancouver. She sees individuals and couples in person in Vancouver or online by secure video.

Many of the people Mandeep works with look capable from the outside while privately feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or stuck. Some come with a clear goal; others only know that something needs to change. Either is a reasonable place to start.

How Mandeep Virk works

Her style is warm, direct and collaborative. In practice, that often means slowing down one specific moment — an argument, a spike of panic, a hard morning — and looking at what you thought, what you felt in your body and what you did next. She asks questions, says what she notices and checks whether it matches your experience.

She draws on more than one approach and chooses what suits the person, rather than applying one method automatically. Appointments may involve reflection, practical strategies, or both, and you can say which is more useful. Her work is trauma-informed: you decide how much to share and when.

Credentials and role

Mandeep Virk holds a Master of Arts (MA) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She is a counsellor, not a psychologist, and does not provide diagnosis, psychological assessment or medication.

She is currently the only counsellor at Dear Therapy, so she is the person you speak with on the free 15-minute consultation and the person you would see for sessions.
